Where to walk your dog in Saanich

Mount Douglas Park (PKOLS)

Off-leash (designated areas)

5 km of forested trails with summit views. Off-leash activity permitted on trails and in designated areas.

Cuthbert Holmes Park

Off-leash areas

Designated off-leash areas along the Colquitz Creek trail. Naturalized terrain with a quieter atmosphere.

Panama Flats

Off-leash (designated sections)

Wetland trails and open fields. Can be muddy in winter. Excellent birdwatching.

Elk/Beaver Lake Regional Park

Off-leash at the beach (with date restrictions)

10 km of lakeside and forest trails. Dogs are allowed off-leash at the beach but seasonal date restrictions apply. Elsewhere in the park, dogs must be on leash or under control. A major exercise spot for dog owners.
